Learn from Academy graduates

Each clinic goes through an approval process and has to be either operated by a graduate of the Canine Health & Wellbeing Academy or have a graduate as an employee. They also have a strict set of processes and procedures they take you through. This ensures continuity of your learning.

Observe an underwater treadmill in action

The size and brand of the underwater treadmill you get to see in action is dependent on what the clinic has at the time you are booked in for your placement.

Real life hydrotherapy experience

Have the opportunity to increase your knowledge and expertise with hands on practical opportunities working along side the hydrotherapist. Note: What you are allowed to do will vary for each clinic.

Limited spaces for an intimate learning environment

As each Canine Hydrotherapy clinic is a real functioning business the Placement is limited in availability and dependent on the schedule of the clinic and the amount of space they have. Once a student has graduated they will receive an email with the list of different clinic locations to choose from.

See different pathologies

Have the opportunity to see different patients - different ages, breeds, and pathologies receiving treatment. Note: You will be witnessing a typical day in the clinic, not specially scheduled patients organised for your observation. Therefore, there are no set pathologies. It's purely dependent on who is booked in for that day.

Learn from graduates of the Canine Health & Wellbeing Academy who have completed the same training as you have and are considered leaders in the canine hydrotherapy industry.

Overseen by Michelle

Each graduate partner clinic has to go through an approval process before being accepted. Michelle hand picks the clinics to ensure their processes and techniques are in alignment with her teachings. There is also a specific procedure that needs to be followed during your placement to ensure you receive the learning experience Michelle wants for your continued learning.

PREREQUISITES

To attend this placement opportunity you must be a graduate of the Certificate in Canine Canine Hydrotherapy. Placement CAN NOT be completed prior to graduation due to safety and insurance reasons.
